More Ice cream delight for Carmela!

You may recently recall reading about a wonderful young girl called Carmela and her love of ice cream! Well we're very pleased to say that the special ice cream holder our Innovation Centre made for her is still being put to good use!

When ice cream brand, Wall’s, found out about Carmela and our invention they wanted to find out what her favourite types of ice cream were. It was a very difficult choice, but Carmela soon decided on her list and we're pleased to say that Wall’s recently sent a special delivery, which has once again put a big smile on Carmela’s face.
Our Innovation Centre is still making these special holders and if think your child would benefit from having one, please get in touch.

Tea Break Talks with Cerebra

Elaine from our Communications Team has been catching up over a cuppa with people from across Cerebra to find out what's going on in different parts of the charity. She's had updates on our library, sleep service, fundraising challenges and mental health research. You can watch all the videos so far on YouTube and follow us on Social Media for more.

Our visors help children return to school safely

Thank you to everyone that’s made a donation to provide a child with a face visor for their return to school.

We made 2,000 child-friendly visors available free of charge to special needs schools across the country and we still have some left!

If you think your school or child would benefit from one then please visit our website where you can place an order even make a donation to provide a child with a visor. You can also text VISOR to 70470 to donate £5. Texts cost £5 plus a standard message.
Samuel and his ITV fundraiser award

From the Pride of Cerebra to the Pride of Britain

We are delighted to announce that Cerebra Volunteer, Samuel Turner, was recently awarded the Pride of Britain Fundraiser of the Year Award for Wales!

Samuel certainly is the pride of Cerebra but when he was nominated earlier this year for Fundraiser of the Year at the Pride of Britain Awards, he had no idea that ITV would later make a surprise visit to Samuel’s home and present him with his award!

You can find out more about Samuel and watch the joyous moment he found out he was a winner here.
