Samuel Turner has been supporting Cerebra since 2017 and to date, he’s raised over £2,000 for children living with a brain condition and their families. He has a huge passion for supporting Cerebra, but he’s also achieved some great things. What makes these achievements all the more remarkable is that Samuel is autistic, has learning difficulties and ADHD. Samuel, though, has never let this stand in his way.
Samuel not only organises and participates in fundraising events for Cerebra but he’s also raised vital awareness through his talents as a filmmaker. A talent that saw him win the Jury’s Prize Award for Welsh Documentary Short Film at the Wales International Film Festival for his film, ‘Where Efforts Begins with Cerebra.’
Samuel certainly is the pride of Cerebra but when he was nominated earlier this year for Fundraiser of the Year at the Pride of Britain Awards, his next achievement wasn’t too far away. I’m so pleased to say that on 2nd October, ITV made a surprise visit to Samuel’s home to present him with the award for Fundraiser of the Year for Wales!
You can watch the joyous moment Samuel was presented with his award here.
Providing the Pride of Britain Awards ceremony takes place later this autumn, you’ll get to see Samuel on the ITV show and we hope you’ll join us in rooting for him to become the Pride of Britain!
