Our Relay team has now completed week three of the 2,500km Relay Your Way journey from Glasgow to Windsor! With 1,681km done and 856km still to go, we’re past the half-way mark and the baton has passed through many more helpful hands on its adventures across the UK to make it to Wales.

There’s still time to get involved – find your stage and join the Relay!

We were on the telly last week!

Did you see us on The One Show last Tuesday? If you missed it you can watch it on iPlayer (skip to 17:20).

Day 15 – From Wigan to Liverpool

  • Visited three schools across Wigan Borough and one more in Liverpool
  • Stopped at the incredible Daisy Inclusive UK, where inclusion is at the heart of everything
  • A highlight of the day: joining the Everton in the Community Disability Football Session
  • And finally, a peaceful finish with an inclusive bike ride and sensory walk in Sefton Park

Many special educational needs are not visible – Elsie has been using Cerebra Sleep Services as she struggles to ever want to sleep

Day 16 – Widnes to Wolverhampton

  • Robert Nolan, trustee at Deafblind UK, took on two huge relay stages — riding with his pilot, Simon Small
  • Together, they covered the heart of the day’s route, supported at either end by our dedicated Relay crew

Robert, who lost his sight several years ago, put in the most mileage with his tandem pilot Simon; well over 50km on 2 wheels!

Day 18 – Solihull to Kenilworth

  • Visited three brilliant local SEN schools, where inclusive relays, big energy and even bigger smiles kept the baton moving
  • Then a special visit to a Short Breaks centre run by the council, bringing the relay to children who might not be able to join on the road — ensuring everyone gets to be part of the journey

Wyatt’s family found Cerebra when they were looking into his potential neurodiversity and issues with sleep – he curiously collected an array of insects on his woodland walk

Day 19 – Kenilworth to Abergavenny

  • Shout out to James Hay, Cerebra Fundraising Manager and Relay planner-in-chief, who led today’s ride from his hometown of Hereford over the border into Abergavenny

Day 20 – Swansea

  • Max and Khadi kicked things off with a huge cycling shift, carrying the baton all the way into Swansea
  • At the bay, BikeAbility Wales rolled in to take the baton further — handing it off for a scenic water crossing
  • Windswept and a joyful crew of paddleboarders, took the baton across Swansea Bay
  • The brilliant team at Exist Skate Park, skated with the baton from Singleton park to Swansea city centre
  • And finally, Ollie and Rhys skateboarded at Exist Skate Park. Ollie is the inspiration behind our world-first adapted skate park gantry system, developed by the Cerebra Innovation Centre. Read the BBC news story
