Library

Our specialist postal library contains a wide range of books for both adults and children and a selection of toys specially chosen for children with brain conditions. Our service is free for anyone in the UK caring for a child with a brain condition and is easy to use.

Our extensive library for parents and carers includes books on a wide variety of subjects that can help answer questions you may have about your child’s condition. In our children’s library we have books to be read with children or by older children. There is a mixture of fiction and non-fiction titles on all sorts of different topics including growing up and behaviour. If you need help using our library or choosing the right book you can email [email protected] and our friendly team will be happy to help.

Toy Library

Our toy library has a variety of sensory toys for all sorts of different needs.

Whether your child is sensory seeking or sensory sensitive we have a kit that’s suitable. If they’re learning about cause and effect or have limited mobility, one of our switch toys could be just the thing for them. We also have soft play toys and communication aids. Your child could discover a new favourite sound, sight, smell or way to play with one of our toys.

Our service is free and easy to use. You can borrow one item at a time for 28 days. They are delivered and collected by courier, which we arrange for you.

ebooks

You can borrow ebooks and audiobooks using the BorrowBox app and website. We have both fiction and non-fiction titles for children and adults. The ebooks can be borrowed to read on Apple or Android devices, Kindle Fire tablets or on your computer.

Join the Library

Our library of books and sensory toys is free and easy to use. Books are sent out in the post with a free label for return and toys are delivered and collected by courier, which we arrange for you. We also have eBooks and Audiobooks that you can borrow. Become a member and make the most of this amazing resource.
