Care and Support Planning (England and Wales) – Part 2

This video looks at Care and Support Planning (for both disabled children and adults). Professor Luke Clements looks at how these identified eligible needs are translated into services in the community, for example engaging a care assistant, adaptations in the home, support to participate in community activities or direct payments.

The video is divided into the following sections:

  • Assessed needs must be met
  • Guiding principles
  • The Care and Support Plan
  • Direct Payments and Personal Budgets
  • Reviews/Reassessments
  • Challenges
  • Further resources and materials

This talk was delivered as part of the Social Care Law Lecture Series at Cardiff Law School.
