Group on Leisuretime tour to Pembrey on St David's Day

Leisuretime by Toureasy marked St David’s Day with an unforgettable celebration, taking over 200 customers across South Wales to Pembrey Country Park in Carmarthenshire for a day filled with Welsh culture, entertainment, and community spirit. All proceeds from ticket sales for the event were donated to Cerebra

The special event featured four coaches transporting guests to enjoy everything Pembrey had to offer, creating a true celebration of Welsh heritage on the nation’s patron saint day. The festivities included two main marquees packed with authentic Welsh experiences and entertainment.

Guests enjoyed the best of Welsh cuisine and culture, with approximately 35 traders offering traditional Welsh food and drink, complemented by additional outdoor stalls and live cookery demonstrations that highlighted local culinary traditions. Non-stop entertainment featured live performances on stage, while the Scarlets rugby team brought their beloved Dragon mascot to delight visitors of all ages. Families enjoyed face painting, dedicated play areas, and access to the beautiful Pembrey beach.

The journey itself became part of the celebration, with passengers singing traditional Welsh songs including “Calon Lân” and other classics during the coach ride, creating an atmosphere of genuine Welsh pride and community spirit.

Sean Taggart, Managing Director of Leisuretime said:

“This was a fantastic way to celebrate St David’s Day as well as raise money for such a wonderful cause. We would like to thank our partners from Cresta Coaches and Davey Travel who kindly donated the coaches and driver time free of charge, making this special day possible for our customers.”

The event raised £1800 and follows Leisuretime’s annual Reunion event in Torquay this January which saw £1,000 raised for Cerebra.

The successful event demonstrates Leisuretime’s commitment to creating memorable experiences while supporting important charitable causes within the Welsh community. Sean Taggart, Founder of Toureasy and Managing Director of Leisuretime by Toureasy is a past Chair of Trustees at Cerebra.

We are very grateful for Toureasy’s continuing support.
