Week two of our 2,500km Relay Your Way journey from Glasgow to Windsor is done! With 1,020km in the rearview and 1,517km still ahead, our Relay team and baton have made it to Wigan and have been part of some amazing experiences along the way.

Day 8 – Scarborough to Bridlington
- One of Cerebra’s brand-new adapted surfboards hit the water for the very first time! We teamed up with The Wave Project for an inclusive surfing taster session — bringing the joy of the ocean to even more children.
- Then we hit the road down the coast to Bridlington, where we were greeted by an army of cyclists led by the brilliant Henry, proudly pulling the baton in his new Cerebra bike trailer as he led the way along the promenade!
Day 9 – Bridlington to Rotherham
- It was another big day in the saddle as we pushed the baton further on its journey across the UK.
Day 10 – Rest day
- After 9 incredible days on the move, the Relay Your Way crew took a well-earned break – time to rest the legs, recharge the batteries, and reflect on just how far we’ve come.
Day 11 – Rotherham to Sheffield
- A brilliant event with Sense at Clifton Park, involving adults with disabilities
- Visits to three fantastic primary schools
- A Learning Disability Rugby League session with the Eagles Foundation
- And a trip to ICE Sheffield, where the amazing Sheffield Steelkings Para Ice Hockey Team took the baton onto the ice!
Day 12 – Sheffield to Huddersfield
- At half-time during the Leeds Rhinos vs Warrington Wolves match, the baton took centre stage as part of the official pitch show!
- Cerebra’s Innovation Team showcased their ground-breaking Sensory Tag Rugby belts, designed to make rugby more accessible for children with sensory needs
- 14 local young people took to the South West corner of the pitch for a mini game of tag rugby, proving that inclusive sport belongs in the spotlight
Day 13 – Huddersfield to Manchester
- We started at the incredible Seashell Trust, joining the excitement as they prepared for their inclusive triathlon
- Then we rolled into Longford Park for a brilliant inclusive cycling session with Simply Cycling
- At the iconic Bridgewater Hall, we stepped into a high-energy dance workshop with the fantastic team at Dance Syndrome
- Then we slowed things down with our friends at Sense, taking part in a peaceful sensory walk through Mayfield Park
Day 14 – Manchester to Wigan
- Kicked off the day with visits to three brilliant schools, inspiring young people to get moving
- Then over to Leigh Sports Village for a fun and friendly inclusive cycling session
- And we wrapped up in Wigan with a joyful family fun run, hosted by Wigan Council, the Mayor of Wigan, and our fantastic friends at Happy Smiles Training
What’s next for the Relay?
This week the Relay team and baton are heading from Wigan to Liverpool and stopping for an Inclusive Football Session at The People’s Hub, Everton in The Community. Then heading on to the West Midlands for an Active Sensory Disco! After that they’ll be heading to South Wales for paddleboarding and skating in Swansea on Sunday (22nd)!
