Our Innovation Centre team have been pulling out all the stops to help support frontline workers during the Coronavirus outbreak.
While unable to carry on with their regular work during lockdown, Ross, David and Gerallt have been able to use facilities and support at the University of Wales Trinity St David to make face visors to protect frontline care workers.
They have adopted a tried-and-tested face shield design that has been successfully launched in many hospitals around London and have 3 laser cutters working flat out cutting the parts. Another team is assembling the shields and bagging and boxing them. All the work is being done under strict social distancing and cleanliness rules!
The latest batch of 500 visors has just been distributed to care homes in the south Wales valleys and Llanelli in west Wales.
The team are really happy to be able to do something for the people who are doing such an amazing job to care for others.
