Free Wills Month occurs every March and October where participating solicitors will be offering people 55 of over the chance to have a simple Will written or updated completely free of charge.
If you have a complex estate, or your estate is worth more than £325,000, you would need to seek specialist advice. However, the majority of people only need a simple Will.
Having a valid and up to date Will is important
It will avoid complications for loved ones and it will ensure that your wishes are respected and followed. Free Wills Month is a great opportunity to discuss how much of a positive impact gifts in Wills have. Even 1% of your estate could have such a huge impact if left to a charity.
