Back in March, the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) suspended all casework activity that demands information from, or action by, local authorities and care providers.
The LGSCO has now issued guidance for councils and care providers regarding good administrative practice and handling complaints during the Coronavirus crisis. Michael King states that “all urgent and serious public concerns should still receive attention” and confirms that “when normal services resume, we will inevitably investigate complaints about what happened during this crisis phase.
