The aim of the 1000 Families Study is to explore the wellbeing of children with learning disability, siblings, caregivers, and families overall. It involves a large cohort, or group, of families of children with a learning disability living in the UK.
Caitlin Murray is a Research Fellow working on the project and has just sent us this update on progress:
The research is being carried out by our Research Partner at CEDAR at the University of Warwick. We hope the project will further our understanding of what it is like to raise a child with a learning disability in the UK and will help shape future support for families and children.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the families that have taken part in the 1000 Families Study so far.
