New CEO For Cerebra

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jess Camburn as the new CEO at Cerebra.

Family with siblings

Jess Camburn is currently the Chief Executive and founder of Elrha, a global organisation that finds solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovation. Jess developed and led the organisation from a small project grant in 2008, to becoming the leading global actor in the humanitarian R&I system with a multi-million annual budget.

Jess will bring with her a wealth of experience in strategic development and governance as well as the ability to create an innovative and inclusive working culture that supports talented teams to excel. Jess also has a background in children’s rights advocacy and believes in the engagement and participation of children and young people in every aspect of life.

On announcing her appointment Jess told us:

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Cerebra team later this year. Moving on from the organisation that I founded and developed has been a very big decision for me, it has taken a unique opportunity with an exceptional values-driven organisation to make it happen. Cerebra is that organisation.

I have long been an admirer of Cerebra’s work and I know that the vision and mission of Cerebra matter to so many children and their families across the UK. I hope that what I will bring to the team will help to deepen and expand Cerebra’s services so that we can support even more children to claim their right to joyful and fulfilling childhoods. I can’t wait to be part of that story.”

Charlotte Geeves, Cerebra Chair of Trustees, commented:

“I am absolutely delighted that Jessica Camburn will be joining Cerebra as our next CEO. We were humbled to have had an astonishing calibre of candidates apply for this role, which reflects the strength of Cerebra, and its place in UK.

Jessica is an inspiring visionary and a highly accomplished Chief Executive, and a passionate advocate for young people and their families. Her commitment to our ambitions for Cerebra to develop and grow into a national charity, with greater profile and therefore able to reach a broader and more diverse group of families is clear in everything she does.”

Jess will take up her role in the Autumn of 2024.
